Conducting Clinic
Dr. Erica Neidlinger, associate professor and conductor at DePaul University, encourages the audience to applaud the performance of 69 band students from ten high schools of the Oregon Music Education Association’s District 13 during the 2015 High School Honor Band concert at Clackamas High School, in Clackamas, Oregon, Feb. 15, 2014. Conducting Clinic

Attention band directors! The Saint Louis Wind Symphony will be hosting a conducting clinic with Dr. Erica Niedlinger on April 17, 2020 (evening) and April 18, 2020 (morning). Participants will have to opportunity to conduct the Saint Louis Wind Symphony through two pieces of music and receive instruction from Dr. Niedlinger (see bio below).

This clinic is provided to band directors at NO COST. To be considered, complete THIS APPLICATION by February 1, 2020. The first ten applicants will be contacted to schedule your time. After those spots are full applicants will be added to a waitlist.

Dr. Erica J. Neidlinger is Associate Professor and conductor of the Wind Symphony at DePaul University. Additional responsibilities include teaching conducting and instrumental music education courses. Dr. Neidlinger has conducted performances across the United States and in Europe. She has traveled to Singapore and Canada as an ensemble adjudicator and clinician and has been featured as a guest conductor and clinician in Latvia. Presentations at international conferences include the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles in Killarney, Ireland and the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. She has also conducted honor bands and presented at many conferences across the United States.

Before her teaching at DePaul, Dr. Neidlinger served as Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she conducted university concert ensembles and directed the marching band. She has been a member of the band and music education faculty at The Ohio State University and has also served as conductor of the Nebraska Wind Symphony. Neidlinger completed her doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota under the supervision of Professor Craig Kirchhoff. In addition, she holds a bachelors degree from the University of Kansas and a masters degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.​
