2022 Youth Ensemble

Who: Membership is open to band students ages 14-23 actively participating in their high school or college band or orchestra program. High school students who qualified for their MMEA or IMEA district honor band, have been a past participant in the previous year’s Youth Ensemble, or are active in the college band program are automatically eligible. NEW THIS YEAR: Any student may submit an audition for acceptance in the ensemble. Audition materials and submission instructions will be communicated at a later date.

When: Rehearsals are February 27 (3pm-6pm), March 6 and 13 (4:30pm-6:00pm), and March 19 (Time TBA). Concert is Sunday, March 20 at 3:00pm with the Saint Louis Wind Symphony.

Where: All Sunday rehearsals take place at the Skip Viragh Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Chaminade College Preparatory School, St. Louis, MO. The performance and March 19 rehearsal will take place at the 560 Music Center (560 Trinity Ave. Saint Louis, MO 63130).

IMPORTANT: DUE TO FACILITY REQUIREMENTS, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AND PROVIDE A BELL COVER AND MUSICIAN’S MASK.
